Just a quick post for today to show how I finally finished my workbench. I was having some electrical work done and needed to have the bench cleaned off to access wiring for the electrical inspector. This was a good opportunity to finish the MDF workbench top to help keep it from getting dirty and stained.
So what I did was add 3 coats of gloss Verathane and as you can see below, it really make a beautiful finish. I needed to do the 3 coats because the MDF absorbs so much of the Verathane during the first coating or two. Between coats I gave it a light sanding to smooth out the finish.
That’s all for today folks! Please comment. I love to hear from my readers. Thanks again for coming along for this ride, you make my work worthwhile.
