Trim Tab Spar Machine Countersinking

May 28, 2016 by admin Leave a Comment

Tonight I had a quick work session, but it required some precise work. The building instructions talk about machine countersinking the top flange of E-606PP (left elevator trim tab spar) to accept the dimples in the E-701-L elevator skin.

I started by using some scrap wood and clamps to securely hold the E-606PP spar. This step is key to getting good results. Once the spar is clamped tight the countersinking is easy.

Here is a picture of my progress.

Please comment, I love to hear from my readers.  Thanks again for coming along for this ride, you make my work worthwhile.
